All the standard kitchen knives look very similar from the design point of view. There’s a steel or ceramic blade, there’s a plastic handle, and that’s it. But every once in a while some design freak decides to develop something different and something that hasn’t been seen before. Those experiments usually end without success, but the Deglon Meeting series is not one of them.
This knife set was designed by Mia Schmallenbach and it has achieved awesome success on the market. It features an unmatchable innovative and contemporary design and it’s a perfect gift for those people who want their kitchen appliances to look as modern as possible to fit their stylistically perfect kitchen. Some say that the quality comes with higher price and they are absolutely right. One of the downsides of the Deglon Meeting series is that they are quite expensive, so they are not appropriate for every budget. If you are looking something more affordable, you are welcome to check out my other reviews.
Deglon Meeting knife set review
Let me start the review with a downside of the Deglon Meeting set. There are two versions of it and one of them is unfortunately too expensive for most consumers. The stainless steel version costs nearly $1000, but the version with the non-stick coating base is much cheaper and more appropriate if you have a limited budget.
Most knife sets feature a wooden block. It’s traditional and it does the job just fine, but it’s also too large to be stored in a drawer. Most buyers of the Deglon Meeting will enjoy the unique block that was made of a single block of stainless steel. Two of the biggest advantages of this block are the compactness and contemporary design. It can be stored in almost any drawer in the kitchen, but I’m sure you’d like to have it right on the top of your counter.
Here’s a list of top features:

If you are buying a kitchen knife set for your friend who isn’t a professional chef and only cares about the design of his kitchen tools, than the Deglon Meeting is one of the best gifts you can buy. But the fact is that despite the compactness, professional chefs will prefer traditional knives for the same price.
